We don't turn our backs on our courageous men and women in uniform and we don't walk away from the Iraqi people who desperately seek democracy and freedom," said Lt. "The Fight for Victory Tour is absolutely essential to demonstrate our support of our troops and to send a clear signal to the anti-military folks in this nation that we will not let them bring about an American defeat in Iraq or the greater war on terror. Victory is the only option and we're not backing down from the fight at hand," Colonel Patterson said.

The caravan will be led by veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom & Operation Enduring Freedom, along with Gold Star Families (who lost a loved one in Iraq) and Blue Star Families (who have a loved one serving in Iraq).

So I says to myself, "Self" I says, "Why's can't you be havin' one a dem dere caption thingys ?" I mean, if I'm good enough for "V the K's" site, why not take a shot at it myself, right ? Then of course I have been spamming, er, visiting "The Bullwinkle Blog" too long not to share their wholesome goodness. "Right Pundits" has been totally wrong when judging my outstanding talent, but hey, I am not without gratitude for their being there when it's late and I'm jonesin' mad for a good pic to inspire my creative juices. Third, but certainly not third, in this aimlessly constructed list of something or other, is the world famous "WILLisms" (I heard a rumor that it was founded and is being entirely run by the decapitated,and you know whatified head of Billy Mummy. Will wonders never cease ? Certainly, WILLisms won't.)

Now that I've dispensed with those amatuers, it's time for the real flakes of the bunch: "The Gone Rick Motel" never passes on a chance to ignore my genious(I know,I know, you don't blame him, either. It's just that I was so sure that people would really like me once they didn't get to know me.) "Support Your Local Gunfighter" normally has some good stuff, although I see nothing in the way of a CC right now . You should go there regardless. Getting in on the ground floor means everything. "The Bagel Blogger" has very busy pictures and I tend to get distracted and somewhat con.....wait...what was I... "FIRST IN" is my biggest fan or visa mastercard or something, all I know is, ladys and gents, dey be representin' pretty good. "Brainfuel" has gone unmolested by anything of note by my little click-clackings. Great pics though. "Outside the Beltway" is in temporary hibernation but said to be returning before you can write your name in the snow....in Siberia. "Public Pondering" is having A Little Holiday Fun Caption Contest. Oops, forgot Wizbangs weekend contest.

Well, I guess that's it. Those are the only people I know in the world and not one of them may I call friend. I must keep the faith however. Somewhere out there, is a soul who understands me. No Hugh Hewitt, I am Not a Racist

Hugh Hewitt called me a racist on his radio show Wednesday. He called you a racist too...That is, if you have made "conclusory" statements about convicted border agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean. (Unfortunately,it seems sometimes as though, Hugh Hewitt is more concerned with what some charlatan, lurking in the bushes, might be waiting to say about him than just speaking frankly on a subject and letting the cards fall where they may.)

Please explain to us Mr. Hewitt,why it is that you scream 'racism' sometimes when you decide that someone is "banging pots and pans" in a manner of which you disaprove ? And considering that people with spanish surnames are on both sides of this issue, how is it that anyone is racist here ? Michael Jackson and O.J. were acuitted. I've heard you say that they are guilty. Are you a racist ? Of course not, you made a reasonable assessment of the facts available to you and came to a conclusion. That is what people are doing regarding this case.

This is a case that is of such importance,I cannot imagine your seeming lack of curiosity. United States congressmen and other community leaders have made public statements to the affect that these two are completely innocent, or at worst, guilty of a simple procedural infraction and all you can say is,"I'm the lawyer folks! People just don't get convicted for nothing, okay all you racist pots and pans bangers ?" Sorry Mr. H.,but that just does not wash. It also doesn't square with your, in the midst of this same tirade, insistence that we don't really know anything on either account. (Just a little aside here: Rush Limbaugh; The Duke lacrosse team; "Scooter" Libby; Sandy Burglar: Do you really want to flash the "Justice doesn't get railroaded" card with the current state of American jurisprudence ?)

These are the kinds of actions that get (some) people thinking about ulterior motives. You're all over the place. I am a great admirer of yours and sympathize with the task of having to speak for 15 hours a week, and still not make any mistakes of signifigance. I just would like to see once,someone,anyone step up to the mic and say,"Well, I was out of line with that stuff the other day.I had a preconcieved notion due to my life experiences and it was wrong to assume anything about something that I truly don't know that much about.I appologize" Would that kill ones credibility with the public, or strengthen it ? I wonder.

My awareness, like that of intellectual titan Rush Limbaugh, of what is going on in America is greatly enhanced by your presence on the scene and I thank you for that. I look forward to hearing a more open,if not so vigilante, mind on the matter of what I, and so many others, view as the cause of two possibly unsung, and most assuredly horribly mistreated, patriots of our great and noble nation, America.

This is my plea for justice, to President Bush. Go here to do the same. Mr. President,I believe that you are a man who cares about justice.From everything that I've learned about this case,it is at least hugely questionable that these men recieved justice and I am 100% foursquare in my conviction that it is a travesty for them to be sentenced so harshly and without the right to remain free while they appeal this decision.

Mr. President,I plead for you to awaken my faith in you and your administration,as it was shattered with the news of this event.Don't wait until hours before your leaving,to pardon these two patriots,like others have done for the sake of criminals.Stand up proudly before the American people and make the statement that the sentries at the gate -the ones protecting us from the evil of drug smugglers,cop-killers and even terrorists as in 2000 with the "Millenium Bomber"- are one with national security and they will not be forsaken by you,and if you can set it into law,by any other administration in the future.

Medved Hypocrisy: Full Speed Ahead !

Thursday on the Michael Medved show your intrepid host referred to imprisoned border agents, Ramos & Compean, in sympathetic tones and insisted that he had not read any official court transcript. He also did not mention any of the other very easy to find info that indicates the very strong possibility these two patriots are being railroaded. So, apparently this is a case that doesn't warrant Mr. Medveds' attention.

Then, just as the show was ending, he made sure to make a point of how Ramos and Compean were guilty as charged and convicted by a jury of their peers. They did terrible things he said, including destroying evidence.

So which is it Mr. Medved. You don't really know much about this or you are fully informed enough to take the word of a drug smuggler and accept that there is nothing fishy going on here ?

Your credibilty is damaged by this "sloppyness" and I will be taking your future statements of fact on other issues with a grain of salt. On this case you have no credibility.

The so called justice system has been known to perpetrate travesties constantly in recent times. From the Sandy Burglar case to so many more that I would have carple tunnel just trying to recount those from the last year here. Yet you accept this one, so full of doubt to even the slightest of glances, as perfect justice.

I am truly disappointed.

Why the Medved Cred has Fled

Talkshow host Michael Medved says border agents Ramos & Compean are guilty and deserve what they got. Why not sing the praises of this great action of the US "justice" sytem then Mr. Medved ? I'll tell you why. Because it is an embrassment and that is why you won't take calls on it from people who want real justice for these two patriots.

One can only imagine how much success we would have at the border regarding real criminal activity if the powers that be were to pursue those bringing chemical death to our kids, as hard as they went after Ramos and Compean. It makes any common sense patriot sick to think of so called Americans giving immunity to a repeat and continuing killer of human souls, just so he can testify against two men (whose experience is a lesson to their former co-workers not to persue criminals), help put them in jail and then sue the US treasury for millions more on top of the waste that the trial already amounted to in this travisty. Prosecutor Sutton sought this scum out, and volunteered immunity for his testimony.

A nation that does this is self destructive and bordering on suicidal. Considering the anti-Americanism on display in congress everyday I am not surprised, but it is not a little disconcerting to see a person I view as a champion of the good,the ethical and the virtuous, to so blatantly avoid a story of this significance to national security.

So Michael Medved, if this is a great and wonderful example of the American justice system, why aren't you having entire programs on the subject ? After you get to the horrors of "tagging" and deep behind the mystery of "Bigfoot" that is. You're not the only one, I know, but it is somehow more offensive when someone of your cutting clarity on many issues, is so willing to bury a terrible injustice under the rug for the sake of...for the sake of... Say, what did the president talk to you guys about during your visit to Washington D.C. last year ? Hugh Hewitt and Laura Ingraham don't mention this either.

I'm not suggesting anything, I just want an answer. Two American patriots, former border agents Ramos and Compean, are paying the price of 11 and 12 years of their freedom,which will virtually destroy their lives and the lives of their children, for what amounts to a procedural error in judgment, and you are virtually silent in the crusade to liberate them / won't show us what dangerous criminals they are and that we need to be protected from them.

I see this as a blemish on what could be a near 100% record when it comes to your fearless defense of those who protect us from evil, and it disturbs me because I hear no explanation. A case of this magnitude demands one, no, it screams for one. When one considers what a truly chilling affect this will have on border enforcement, one can't help but wonder if there are ulterior motives involved.

Former border agents Ramos and Compean, as I have read on this site in support of them, have exemplary records and have recently been the victims of false rumors spread by whoever wishes for them to just go away and rot in their cells. That is horrific, and not anything that makes me proud to be an American.

This one event has caused me to lose faith in my president and is as demoralizing as the Alien Gonzalez attrocity, which still haunts this countries collective conscience, and I do not want to give up the belief that my country is a more just, than unjust, nation.

The Duke "rape" case, Scooter Libby (You called Fitzgerald a "Great American" when he charged Libby. Have you ever retracted that ?), child molesters being let loose upon helpless children everyday and the Rush Limbaugh witchhunt are just a few among many crimes against the citizenry occuring everyday in the name of the law. And now this. Please explain to us why we should think of this as justice, because I just don't see it.

Name for me the great "nonbinding resolutions" in American history...okay, I'll check back when you deglaze your eyes...Bonus Q:Name the authors of these great documentations of the inner workings of the W.U.S.S.Y. "intelect").

Yep, that's right, you heard right, the secret words for tonight are 'cowardice' and 'obfuscate'. When they are exposed as resembling the first secret word, they simply resort to the second. Well I've got a question for 'em: You folks say that you want what's best for the country. That you only want what's best for the American Fighting Man and his mission and because of that,when you see imperfection in the administrations war plan, you must interject and see to it that these wrongs are righted so that the most noblest of American intentions will be backed by the most effective of her actions, right? That is who the enemy within is, the most deadly enemy that America faces, and they will destroy us all, eventually, if they are not SHAMED into oblivion.

Why embrionic stem cell research even though it shows no promise ? Mr. Tabor has it half right with the money angle but the other side,the dark side,is that it blurs the morality of abortion.

They already know that people are starting to realize that babies are little hes' and shes' because of the advancement of ultrasound technology and they need a way to "prove" that we must keep the option of killing the little "unviable tissue masses" for the sake of little Timmys' leukemia,or Granpas altzhimers,or M.J.Foxs' Parkinsons,or YOUR skin cancer.That is manipulative on a level of evil intent in my opinion.

Why go around screaming that the American Fighting Man is impudent ? That he is a halpless tool of the "Military industrial complex" who is to be pitied, not honored ?Because these are the same people who run the school,but still fear and acquiess to the bullies at the expense of the well behaved.Even going so far as to punish kids for defending themselves.Why? They are instinctive cowards,that's why.

This post by BLACKFIVE points out a significant quote by W that clearly indicates we are at the end of our "turn the other cheek" rope,with Iran and Syria, to mix a metaphor or two. The democrats want George Bush to lose. The American Fighting Man wants America to win. Which side do you fall on ?

I watched,on Fox after the speech, dems like Turbin is a d*ick and Tom Vil What a Sack continue to advocate for the modern version of Viet Nam, that would lead to a similar series of mass murders, that the pullout from that winnable war led to. America,led by Teddy the snorkler Kennedy, deserted the Viet Namese people and the American Fighting Man 30+ tears ago and George Bush,God bless him, does not want to be the leader of this country during another such act of shame.

He is wrong on many things, but on this one, George Bush is right. We must win. Think about it: Those opposed to this "escalation" are saying that America cannot win. America cannot win ? Think about that. The greatest nation on earth,now and forever,is incapable of beating a bunch of mass murdering savages who hide behind women and children. He said it right, get ready for a long bloody slog but, America can,and, with our support,will, win this absolutely necessary campaign to rid a huge chunk of the mideast, a region of a thousand years of hate and killing, of the number one proponents of that hate and killing and start an unprecidented era of freedom,prosperity and alliance with the west which will result in a better world for our children and grandchildren.

I've been yelling for a long time that when people like John F'n kerry -who do things that would make the rest of us seek our own death in shame for having done them- do these(as informed as,if not more so,than the rest of us) acts in support of the enemy,that they are clearly being traitorous. But if no one of any status actually states it in those terms,why would they stop? No stigma = no motive to correct the behavior = a further emboldened enemy incurring ever increasing death and mayhem on the American Fighting Man and countless innocents.

It is not necessary to know that you could convict someone of treason if you are making the case,that they are exibiting all of its traits,for the purpose of stifling their destructive behavior.If it is true,and it is most obviously true,that, "In the realm of practical effect, Kerry has given aid and comfort to his nation's foes",then the act of applying pressure to shut such a person up is in fact great patriotism,and deserving of applause and encouragement.

If the definition of insanity is "The repeated application of failed principles,and expecting success anyway",then why should our side,the side that is serious about dealing with islamo-fascism,continue to treat those giving "aid and comfort to this nations foes" as though they are solid patriots who only want the best,when we know they will use our lack of clearly defined condemnation as license to continue in their destructive behavior that could very easily lead to our total destruction?

These are deadly dangerous times that we live in and our enemies,both foriegn and domestic,are demonstrating greater boldness in getting what they want than we,their alleged opposition, are.We have the greatest military that has ever existed,and that military deserves better than what they get from "their side" when they are defamed because,the fact is,in the eyes of too many,the defamers and liars are winning the propoganda war,which is one war the military can do virtually no fighting in.

If the American public,led by the great thinkers and pundits of the day,gets fired up and P'd off at the realization that they have been lied to about the virtue of their own American Fighting Man and the righteousness of his mission,then it will be far more likely that a vote conscious politician will get up enough nerve to insist that America take it to ALL of her enemies,for the sake of her very survival.

Anything less and we are just biding our time until the day when the "aiders and comforters" have incorporated enough appeasement into the political system,to allow for "The Big One" to hit us,which would be akin to NOT having used every resource at our disposal,ie:The A-Bomb,to end the war in the Pacific. Something that most rational people realize saved Japan and the U.S. from even greater death and destruction.

My fellow lovers of freedom, all I am suggesting is that we "go nuclear" on the collaborators before they bring their own brand of negotiated destruction to the,ever expanding as time goes by,masses of people who always get it when leaders don't lead,and thinkers don't act to compel them to.the above is my response to this post by Josh Trevino at www.hughhewitt.townhall.com

Unfortunately,many so called conservative thinkers go along with the "convetional wisdom" that says Iraq is a disaster and in so doing, legitimate the driveby medias constant attack on the psyche of decent Americans who rely on them("conservative" commentators)for bold insite as they don't have time to read fine columnists like Mr. Kevin McCullough here and all of the informative links he provides.

And that is what leads to my greatest frustration: If even 50% of the USA was actively united against the enemy,and the other 50% would just stop saying terrible things about us,our militsry,our President,then we would be unstoppable and the enemy knows it.

And that is what leads to my greatest anger: Those who speak out in public,ie:Democrat senators,congressmen,unexplainably respected celebrities and your occasional republican turncoat, claim to be speaking in the best interests of the nation by telling the truth of how evil WE are(while never even mentioning the truly evil acts of the enemy,let alone condemning them,but that's a whole other subject),are NEVER confronted with the simple question,"If you are really concerned for the good of the nation,wouldn't it be best to try and affect change behind the scenes and directly at the source,as in,the President,the Pentagon etc.?" And then the inevitable follow up,"Who else can it possibly help but the enemy when America is seen as a divided country,that with just enough sensless killing will eventually lean all the way over and fall into full surrender,now that so called U.S. leaders are willing to show more allegiance to the stance of our enemy than to their fellow countrymen and women in uniform?"

Our own war to maintain the Union was a "disaster" that should've been aborted.
WWII was in doubt for years and America was not even the preeminent superpower that she now is.
The Revolutionary War was "A terrible idea" that would only lead to needless death and destruction of property.
We were through in "The war of 1812".
The first Gulf War "Would require 100,000 body bags".

I guess things never change.If it were easy and everyone agreed,I guess this wouldn't be America. It just seems to me that there is an unprecedented tally of LEADERS in CONGRESS who openly show disdain for their own country and its leadership during time of war and I can't help but wonder if this not the time when we have finally pushed our preference for freedom of EVERYTHING,including sedition and out and out treason(see:NY Times/their sources,Joe Wilson,Pros.Fitzgerald etc.),over a natural desire for self preservation.

Iraq IS doing good,relatively good. Dennis Prager made a brilliant point the other day that I can't believe someone as smart as me -or anyone else that I've ever heard for that matter- did not already come up with and this is it:

If the lefts reason for being anti-death penalty is rooted in the fear of an innocent
person being executed (something that virtually never happens now with the advent
of DNA,the appeals process and the burden of proof required from the prosecution),
then they must also acknowledge the fact that this policy exposes countless more
innocent victims to the horrors of being killed,raped,molested or otherwise harmed
by these same paroled killers,rapists,molesters and other portrayers of attrocities
upon the masses.

The numbers aren't even close when comparing these two classes of victimhood. A day doesn't go by where you can't find a story of some piece of human refuse, with a criminal record verging on that of your average malevolent dictators,who takes a small child or criple in a wheelchair and does something unspeakable to them not to mention all of the more common mayhem they perpetrate that barely elicits a yawn from the authorities who have bigger offices to occupy,er um, crimes to persue and prosecute.

So just remember that the next time some snivling, danny glover, commy pinko,che guevera loving type pulls the "Hey man, I saw where some poor guy got railroaded for nothing because the sherriff was a racist". This is my response to Denis Pragers column about congressman Ellisons (of the moron state of minnesota who's borderstoop I'll not be darkening anytime soon) intention to be sworn in on a koran.

If any American running for office took money from groups and individuals as hateful and violent/encouraging of violence as now Congressman Ellison has, and they were NOT muslim/black/a flaming lib,they would be crushed by the onslaught of negative MSM coverage and rightfully so.
This is just another case of the foundations of our country being undermined by the leftist MSM and useful idiot voters, who suffer from brain rot, in retard states like minnesota.

cnns' wolf blitzer, when defending his networks airing of SOLICITED terrorist propoganda/recruiting films, told Lynn Cheney words to the affect, "We have to show the news,even when the news is not so good". Well wolf, does that include reporting news that's not so good for the enemy ? Like, "Now there's 6,000 more Iraqis in peril because a U.S. serviceman was just gunned down by an illegal enemy combatant who was hiding behind a baby carriage and the Marine refused to fire back in self defense." Of course not. That's the point in a nutshell. The news that's "not so good" for U.S. servicemen is ALL that's shown except for the news that IS good for the killers. Now I see. It all averages out -50/50.

I know the coverage won't change. Hell, the culture of Liberal Activist Media Bias, or L.A.M.B. as I call it, won't even publish a humorous little photo of our side having some innocent (and poignant) fun with a pompous twit. But that doesn't mean we have to pay attention to it. It corrupts, it pollutes, it weakens morale resolve to the point where I here people who should know better, repeating the doomsayers talking points and agreeing with their predictions of things that might as well've already happened, even when they know that it's bad info (polls based on undersampling of republicans) that's put out by the L.A.M.B.s laughterhouse to try and affect the desired result that they previously predicted all wrong. Look, their views won in Viet Nam when they secured defeat, leaving thousands of young servicemens' records stained unjustly forever and they have been working ever since to wreak the same kind of havoc on their enemies -the defenders of liberty and capitalism. I say don't let them get away with it. Keep reading the blogs, find your news elsewhere than the L.A.M.B. machine and formulate your own conclusions from those facts without interference from "tragedy tv" as Laura Ingraham so accurately calls it. Won't it be great to see with your own eyes, the total and utter destruction of the networks and newspapers that have for so long been hostile to all that is good, decent and traditional in this country ? They got this way because once upon a time it was needed to expose the injustices that were happening to many in this country. The only problem is, the country has gotten much better while they have seen it to be continuing along a path towards fascism or whatever else their twisted logic sees. Of course they do this while ignoring TRUE crimes and attrocities like voter registration tampering by "a.c.o.r.n.", Castros' mass slaughter/imprisonment of his own people, the state of Massconfusion continuing to re-elect the Ill-legal firm of, frank,kennedy unt kerry etc. No my sympathetic ones, they will never change, so our only hope is to ignore them out of existence. Stop quoting the ny times for crying out loud ! It validates the rest of their tripe in the minds of so many. I believe that the right has a fully selfsustainable network of information with which to keep itself accurately informed. A word to my secularist bretheren:Let me get this straight.You believe this life is it.So, your values are based on the here and now,not some esoteric concept like "as a secularist, I have to honor life above all else (naturally I don't believe in an afterlife)" when saying why you would chose the stranger over the pet.Excuse me but you just said, "I have to honor life".Your cat is a life.It's "accidental chemical makeup" is just different from yours and the strangers.They're both going to be dust in the end so what's the real difference besides your love of kitty? You say,"The stranger has the same 'awareness' as me". So what ? Are you aware that he slashed your tires in the parking lot ? How do you know what awareness a domesticated animal has anyway? And what if that cat held the DNA link in the chain leading to, a brave new world without wars led by, King Fluffy? If we are all just at the current end of the "primordial ooz's" accidentally launched experiment, some billions of years past, who are you to say who lives according to your perception of their inate superiority to other life forms? God? Save the cat or be a lousy -and not just a little inconsistent- secularist.

Your life is based on tangible, "proveable","facts".I mean, what if the stranger is a murderer? You're telling me that you would let your loyal,loveable (well,loveable) pet die so you could save a killer who is just going to end up as part of the same mud in some puddle of the future ? Victory Through Concession and the "It's All About Me" Principle

This was my big push to stop the "cut and run conservatives". I think the results speak for themselves.

Regarding folks that will only vote for "principled" conservatives or not at all, wasn't the "Me generation" back in the '70s ? We all understand.You want to matter. Every time you vote for an apparent conservative he changes as soon as he gets into office, leaving you as an inaffectual little nobody, holding the bag for an RNC tool or whatever you've taken to calling them these days. That does sting and don't think that you're the only one to feel that knife sliding into your back. But, the cold hard fact of the matter is, "creeping socialism" is what we live under in this country and short of another Revolution or at least a coup, it's going to take a very persistent, patient,piece by piece,lethargic,painstaking,slow but sure,move by incremental move, (well, you get the picture) kind of an effort to reverse what took decades to create. Remember "The New Deal" ? I know, no one does.They've come a long way baby. Now it's our turn.

So far, we've had "The Contract With America" -called "The Contract ON America" by the lapdog media in lockstep with their allys in congress - which resulted in a dem President signing welfare reform (I know I know, after vetos galore). I think there were 9 other aspects of the "contract", with some of them being worked on, while others fell by the wayside. That's politics. You shoot for the moon. You settle for a telescope with which to get a clearer view of it. But (again with the buts), some years later we've had 2 (THAT"S TWO !) conservative SCOTUS appointees successfully navigate their way on to the court. There's been enough tax cuts to turn the whole economy around AFTER the tech bubble burst AND the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. There's been an aggressive assault on the worldwide terror machine (If you don't believe me, the details of virtually every classified move are published in the NY Times on a regular basis). Also, we've gotten the "al qeda bill of rights" passed. John Bolton has languished without benefit of an up and down vote, along with numerous appeals courts judges (thank you King Squishy, ie: Sen. Frist) for years. And here's one issue that has GOP heroes AND goats. Border security. Pres. Bush would give amnesty to millions, but the GOP dominated congress stopped him. And those are just a few of the examples that go right, left and middle.

So what does the above indicate ? You don't get everything you want. The operative word here being YOU. If 1994 never happened, do you think any of the good stuff above would ever have happened ? (This is where I get to the point.) It's not just that you are one of them, " the glass is half empty", kinda people. No, it's a little more complicated. You must make an impact. Being heard is not enough. Your action/choice not to act must be the most important thing, because now they will bow down to you. Forever more, they will make sure you are happy before they act. The tables will turn. Once, you voted and hoped. Now, they will act according to your wishes or suffer the "conseplexes" (noun : a conclusion derived from ticking off ones principled -if not a little in need of therapy- constituents). And there's the rub. The "movement" isn't about the party getting what it can and surviving to fight another day for the next little piece of the puzzle, it's about your hurt feelings. Just listen to yourselves, "They're just a bunch of 'countryclub Republicans' !" "Ya! Stoopid RiNOs ! They won't even poor tons of money into California to try and beat an entrenched, virtually lifetime appointed, been in office since the Earth cooled dem ! What a buncha' posers dude !!!" You're the only people I know who say, "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain", that aren't being facetious.

Now for the analogy part of the blog. I work for a living. I drive to work. I like it when there's "holiday traffic" and I get to work real fast. That rarely if ever happens. To make sure that I do get to work fast, I don't drive 100 miles per hour. Neither do I respond to the fact that I can't have my way with the traffic by effectively saying, "Well fine then, I'll just go 20 mph below the speed limit ! Or forget that, I'll just stay home." The traffic will notice my absence about as much as the politicians will. They're both happy I'm gone, but for the most part, life goes on either way. Accepting for a few things. The backstabber at my shop will get promoted over me in the short run and, I will be working longer and harder to make up for lost time doing what I should've been doing all along, which is, dealing with the traffic and doing the best that I can to be a productive part of the shop. Also, nobody will carpool with me now (after that 100 mph thing) making the "gridlock" a little worse.

Or, to put it another analogy way. To take your vote and stay home as a way of "saying something" is tantamount to telling the candidates for sheriff in your town "Neither one of you does a good job at fighting crime, so to hell with it ! I'm just gonna dig a deeper basement and buy more canned goods !" What !?! Come again? Me thinks those politicians are lickin' their chops to not have to worry about winning one more vote. Believe me folks, a narrower electorate does not translate into MORE responsive "gub'ment". It makes for the opposite. And you in turn, will get that much more obstinate in your opposition to it. Brilliant. I'm sure Perot or Anderson will be by real soon to save us all from the Rinos.

It is intellectually dishonest, not to mention irresponsible, to NOT do something as an act of political disssidence. It is also the height of "meism" for lack of a better term, and plays right into the hands of those who are participating in "The Politics of National Destruction", (PND), which includes everyone from the lapdog media, to leftwing politicians,to the terrorists themselves(Yes,they play American politics too.What, you don't think they care who wins the elections? Please...) That last one is the one that gets me. You see, much like many of you, I am a veteran. I love the American Fighting Man. I love him. I also love him when he's a her.
Next to God, there is NO other force known to mankind responsible for the liberation of SO MANY human souls, and -in terms of current America- for the carefree lifestyle of so many people who don't have a clue as to how good they've got it, than those men and women. I repeat. I love them. I am alive because of them. You are free and able to discuss the impact of your silly little "actus-notdoneus" of grave importance, with all of your other screaming ME MEs because of them but mister, you pull the plug on those virtuous ones and you better never run into me without benefit of some sort of protective gear, because you will have blown it.And our blood enemies will know it, and they will be that much more encouraged to do harm to the people that serve as the only real buffer between us and an appointment with absolute destruction.

The American Fighting Man refuses to quit, and I refuse to let him die in vain.
If you know what's good for your country, neither will you. Now get out there and vote dammit. And vote to say, "Yes, I support you. I appreciate you. I am with you as you spill your blood in the mission that you believe in, as only a fighting patriot can."

The REAL Cost, of Every Soldier Lost

As one who is deeply offended by the constant,and completely void of any context, tallying of dead U.S. servicemen I would just like to make a plea to any sane news organization out there that might not be invested in Americas' defeat or at least wouldn't mind actually seeing "us" win.
Someone. Anyone.Please consider this formula I have devised to estimate the actual loss sustained to the world every time we lose one of "ours"( I like to call them ours because it obviously so deeply offends cnn-jazeera and their affilliates, dncbs, the new york crimes etc.). : 27 million folk live in Iraq / Most polls I see indicate that about 2 thirds (minimum), of the Iraqi citizenry, support the U.S. militarys' presence until they can defend themselves / That makes it about 18 million we are defending, who want to be defended (in THE most conservative estimate possible that is - I think the kids are with us about 90% -with a bullet...so to speak) / Now, if you take those 18 million and divide them by the current total of Marines, Soldiers, Airmen and Squids that have given their lives in defense of "The Grateful 18 mil" lets call them, you can then establish an actual value to that serviceman or womans life. I see it at about 6,000 of "The Greatful 18 mil" to each one of our fallen heroes. Of course there is no value that can comfort the broken hearts of so many families that will go on without a son or daughter or grow up without a dad or mom or live the rest of their lives without one more hug, phone call or special moment that only their lost brother, sister or friend could provide and had provided for all of their all too short lives.

Would it really be so much to ask that an anchor put some actual context into the number(s) that they so happily report, as if they are beating us over our heads with,the next dead young Americans' body so as to make us all cry out "STOP ! I don't want another Viet Nam. Let's just quit. There's nothing good happening there anyway."They're not numbers. They're not standing targets for the killers. They are doing great works and they believe in the Presidents mission. It's their mission. To say that their mission is a complete and total failure is to suggest that john kerry was right when he said that they are too stupid to know what's best for themselves or the country.

I know it's not easy for most people to pay attention when there's so much "fun stuff" and responsibilities to take care of, but I just refuse to believe that America, that my America, will go along and do as the elites want us to do and give up on the only people left that can save us. That can save the world. That have already saved the world from itself time after time in the last 100 years and before that, saved the union herself from destruction.

When Lynn Cheney asked the cnn stooge if he wanted "us" to win, I was half expecting him to say, "It depends on what we decide the meaning of the word 'us' is to us ." You're not one of 'us' wolf. At least I wouldn't want you or yours anywhere near me in a firefight. I used to say "To hell with them! America can win anyway." I know America can't win without that man or woman who's keeping his or her 6,000 civilians safer, but I am no longer sure that America will win with the L.A.M.B. slaughterhouse working to defeat her all of the way.

Would it be analogous to say, if I am a catcher on a winning baseball team(okay,we're in 1st place in the NL West,2 games over 500), and half my team decides not to show, that I should have my pitcher groove a BP fastball "right down Broadway" for their cleanup hitter,up 3,in the bottom of the 9th, with the bases loaded ? Man, you bring a whole new meaning to "dem Bums" lament of "wait'l next year".A man as smart as you should be rallying the troops(Your team?) to fight it out 'til the bloody end. There is no honor in consession. No pride in mediocrity.

Also, I can't believe that "rightmindedmom" is the only one to point out how out in leftfield your assessment of Michael Medved is, or anyone else in the "Bigs", when you say that he is suggesting that the stay at home repubs are traitors.That's not even close to the truth, and dear to my heart, Rush illustrates the concept of "(eventual) victory through surrender" brilliantly, with his "Cut and Run Conservatives" PSA.

Hiroshima & Nagasaki Hold the Key to Iraq

With civilian leadership, comes the responsibility to LEAD and make the hard decisions. I heard GW say today that he will pow wow with the Generals, and then their recommmendations will be implemented, or words to that affect. I think that Generals should be TAKING orders because the McClellans are more common than the Grants. They're too close to the suffering of their men and the inevitable collateral damage to do what must be done. Frankly, we shouldn't expect them to make those decisions. Only one man can do that. The Commander in Chief.

I fear that all of the carping about his lack of military experience,combined with the lies of traitors like jack mytha, causes President Bush not to follow through on what he know's -deep down inside- must be done. A real, unflinching and successful display of American might. Not of the same magnitude as Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August of '45, but just as decisive and unsentimental. Only then will we have a truly trustworthy ally like Japan. Remember, Japan was ruled by a militaristic culture of death with a heavy religious influence - and one could argue - virtually as fanatical as our current enemy. The left would say that we demonized the Japanese in order to be able to do the unthinkable. The right says we simply identifyed them for what they were and did what had to be done in order to save countless more lives. I concur with the later.

It took American right, via American might, along with good old American Capitalism to turn a sick country bent on genecide in China and Nazi allied world domination, into one of the greatest economic powers in the world. Dear (enter Rep./Senators name here),

I am writing you today as a veteran to ask that you please make a very STRONG statement, with your commitment to support the war on terror AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, to tell the truth of what is happening as the people who are fighting and dying in that war see it. They are being assaulted daily with lies, half truths and omisions in the media and have no voice as they cannot be political even though they are tossed around like footballs by politicians all of the time. These people, these best and brightest that our country has to offer, believe in their mission and if they had the full conviction and support of their fellow countrymen and women starting with those in places of leadership, the enemy would not stand a chance! The country was fully commited to victory during WWII and that is what made us unstoppable against what was relatively speaking, a much bigger threat than what we face now.

Fact is, the enemy is fully commited to OUR total destruction, so it is going to take leaders willing to seperate from conventional party dogma and unite as one,whole nation under God or otherwise and take it to these sadists in the way that only America can. Otherwise, our future is not guaranteed and it would be wrong headed to think that it is if we can't even unite to defeat what amounts to a bunch of insane mass murderers,with a telagraphed game plan.Even if you don't believe in US supremacy, I hope you do understand that we simply cannot be seen as quitters or failures in this endeavor or the times of terror attacks being common here at home lies just ahead.

"I don't see what's the big deal. North America, South America, Central America. It's all America. We should just be able to live wherever we want and let the entitlements fall where they may" said a man from the part of America formerly known as "Central America". City police on horseback practiced riding through crowds. Alledgedly it was in preperation for a potential terror attack but we here at the Times have been leaked a memo which indicates it's all just a plot to eventually stack naked Latin Americans and violate them with toilet plungers.

The phrase or any words to the affect of, "Jobs that Americans won't take" is so insulting, so take the wind out of my voting sails and most importantly, just so wrong that it is driving me to distraction and the President/anyone in the GOP must cease & desist this wholly untrue mantra or I fear you will lose many fence sitters.
This is a country built on the backs of many hard working LEGAL immigrants and citizens and it is painfully obvious that pandering to the Hispanic vote and the business contribution, is all tied up in a neat little bow in those 5 words. Let me tell you something else it accomplishes, it drives people away from the GOP en masse. If the circles I travel in and talk radio are any indication of the sentiment that those words engender in the base- personally, I flip the dial or hit the mute button and bite my tongue for the expletives that try to leap out- then you must stop it or at least finish the damn sentence, "...at a wage that has been driven down by an illegal workforce".
I know the current backbone of the party won't allow for such a statement of truth but it sure would be nice to see us have the kind of unwavering clarity and determination in the face of political correctness that is shown with people like Sec. Rice, John Bolton and our Iraq policy.
I would gladly roof all day in the California sun if it would pay more than what these illegals have to take. Oh and stop inferring that people are racists and xenophobes if they disagree with a porous border policy. That little tactic does NOT endear you to anyone, including the millions of LEGAL immigrants, many of whom I work with, that don't like seeing their standard of living run down by lawbreakers anymore than I do.

It must be illustrated just how the democrats belie their own claims of "pro-America/pro-troops" support with a very hard hitting and accurate ad campaign. Here's what you do: Show a picture of someone like Ted Kennedy,John Kerry,Hillary Clinton,Dink Turbin etc. with some of their endless attack of negativism against our President and the American Fighting Man, during time of war in the last year...Then, show ALL of the rhetoric these same "supporters of the troops" have angled against THE worst blood enemies of the United States in existence, in the same period of time, during a war for our very existence. Perhaps crickets chirping would help illustrate the point.

What I'm saying is, GET SOME DAMN BALLS AND ENTER THE FIGHT. The democrats-much like al qeda- understand how to fight and just like our blood enemies, it is easy to show how destructive they truly are by simply outlining their own actions that result in the moral building of these killers and the subsequent mass murder they commit "knowing" that they can trigger another "Vietnam Quagmire" that the American people will eventually give up on, leading to U.S. humiliation and millions more subjected to slaughter, slavery and indoctrination into the culture of "hate/death to America" that was the true result of j. kerry and his ilk following their successful destruction of the fight against communism in southeast Asia.

This is a serious post.
Just heard Hugh Hewitt interview Michael Ware (here's the link to "Radio Bloggers' audio), the extremely troubling reporter, who imbeds with arguably the most prolific sadists alive on the earth today. I say you can't just hang out with a bunch of calculating professional killers of innocents as an observer like one can with U.S. Fighting Men and have their only concern be for your safety . To the contrary, you can bet they exploited this person who is ostensibly the west's eyes and ears in the terrorist pipeline.

The above should be obvious to anyone who dwells on it beyond face value for a moment but I believe that Mr. Ware has actually been turned into a tool for al qeda just because it is so insane to think that , run his own little reality show at ANY risk to their image without total and absolute control of content.

If you listen to Mr. Ware speak you will hear patterns in his speech, or rather, you will hear actual speeches that have been commited to memory as if by rote. Although I believe that Mr. Ware is not brave but more of a thrillseeker-yes,there is a difference- he IS very articulate and capable of forming original sentences on a recurring subject. This fact combined with his spending much time with people who derive satisfaction, a sense of acclomplishment and feel closer to their creator when they are commiting unspeakable attrocities and it seems obvious to me that Mr. Ware has been subjected to being a witness to things like controlled, conscious, dismemberments of other human beings. This is something that when in the presence of, can have the same effect as confronting your own mortality. No words would need to be spoken to convey the message of witnessing a human slaughter(s) and all that it entails for anyone that is an enemy of these killers. The witness however, would be able to concoct a rationalization that he just happened to be there, so what if he can't tell everything that happened ? 'It's better than no reporting at all, I mean hey, CNN reported less than me for over 10 years for the privelidge of their safety. They could have easily killed me but they didn't (thank you oh merciful one!).' What's the name of that syndrome people get when held in captive terror ?

So Mike Ware is the Manchurian reporter. We have whole networks of them here in America and they seek out their indoctrination, then wrap themselves in a nice little bubble so as not to wreak any havoc on the illusion. With helicopters above and the news media outnumbered on the ground for the first time since (insert name & date of any Christian/"rightwing" oriented demonstration here) tens of thousands of hard working, law abiding protestors left there jobs and blocked traffic,commerce,ambulances etc. for hours to display there disgust at the notion that they may have to live in their own countries. "Your President Bush is a hateful man, a killer of thousands of my fellow Mexican people who are just trying to find a better life for their families here in this terrible, hateful country" said a man with many diamond rings on his hands just before "trading" several packets of "produce" with another man with gold teeth. He then sped off in his brand new Cadillac yelling, "Viva Vicente !!!".

Elsewhere, a man in his fifties, referring to the work that Mr. Bush himself calls, "jobs that no self respecting American would ever take"(in so many words), said,"They are crazy ! These people want US to leave ? Who then will you get to harvest your lettuce, to pick your tomatoes, to walk around all day in cow leavings !?! To take lousy pay for disgusting work in exchange for my human dignity...?" The man left to join the border patrol of Southern Mexico. "I don't need this crap!" he was heard to say.

Later, the crowd parted as if by Jesus herself when Rep. Maxine Waters appeared before astonished gazes and rapture."I have come to tell you that you have nothing to fear from the great devil in Washington. If you can lift your hand, you have nothing to fear! If you can swing a club, you have nothing to fear! If you can huck a stone, You have nothing to fear! If you can block the path of an oncoming minivan, remove the occupants, and then mercilessly beat them until they love you, I am here to tell you, YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR! " The crowd stood awstruck by this amazing orator. A young immigrant worker was heard to say,"Man, I just want to feed my kids. And besides, wasn't this a protest to keep us here ? I don't want anymore of them coming in either. They're trying to take MY job too ya know ?", but the chants of,"No union pay scale/benefits/retirement package, No Peace!", drowned him out.

Then, everyone milled around for a few minutes and went back to work. Also, Ms. Waters limo was apparently "baptized" with "holy water" and keyed by what looked to have been about 50,000 claw hammers, rakes and or feather dusters. "My people" she said, and with a wry, knowing kind of smile, laid rubber a half mile straight out of the area while spraying machinegun fire from the built in turret in her bullet proof stretch Hummer. Later,her assistants passed out leaflets explaining Ms. Waters "illustration" of the affects of the Bush/Cheney policy on gun & ammo control. A policy that resulted in the death of this reporters shield er..uh photographer. That's it from L.A.

Senator Drowner then stood side by side with fellow party members Dink Turbin, Barely Freed(the only remaining former slave owner in the senate) and Clancy Verbosi to announce proudly and to much applause, that together they had "killed the 'War Mobilization and Reconversion Act of 1944'". Senator Drowner reiterated his oft stated belief that the "Pearl Harbor Commission" proved which is, Mr. Roosevelt had commited "high crimes & misdemeanors" when he chose to hire a really slow typist to translate the Japanese coded transmissions leading up to the alleged attack on Pearl Harbor as outlined in the Academy Award winning short, "Arizona, Deep-Six-Down", wherein Oscar winner Trifle Bore documented how Mr. Roosevelt didn't even get out of his wheelchair, run to the nearest machinegun turret and start blasting the Jananese Zeros, proving his obvious collaboration with the Regime that had lined his "Big Saki" buddie's pockets with lots of cash. It is not judged here as to the voracity of any or all of the above claims but since we'll never give front page attention to Mr. Roosevelt's response, what other conclusion can one come to ?
Combine this with the fact that former president Herbert Hoover has gone abroad to skewer Mr. Roosevelt as an incompitent, bloodthirsty, profiteer who's only interest is to fullfill his childhood fantasy to be a war hero draped in glory and you have a .3 % approval rating by the American people who have apparently grown weary of sacrificing there under educated, employment starved children to a war that is at best a boon to the military industrial complex(and "big saki").
Dateline: Warm Springs Georgia "No blood for Jews" a sign screamed out at the world surrounding Lindy Screedman, a young idealistic mother of 3 from Terre Haute Indiana. Algore Fulbright's speech in Austria last week where he told his Arian audience of the horrors their brother patriots had experienced in America when they were found under several harbors mining their own business. "They're rounding you up like ordinary Jews or Christians or something and then, after a kangaroo court, they hang your innocent compatriots !!!" This is much like my disagreement with you on calling a traitor a traitor or treason, treason. When you say people should limit their speech due to the potential that YOU'LL be called mean names - as in the treason issue - or because thugs will organize to exploit the fear, 'er, "sensitive side" of those of us in the west, you have given control of the argument over to the thugs. We must come from a standpoint of strength, and to NOT show solidarity with the victims of this campaign of terror which is in essence, a demand to quell thought/debate, is a big mistake for those who know better. I believe you are a good man, it's just getting hard here to understand how your "good intentions" can make you so blind as to not know better. Wake up Hugh, they're still killing people, thought and descent, and at an accelerated rate, even though they're getting what you want them to have, which is censorship. These are brutes, mindless thugs and we must present a united front against them just as we are in Iraq & elsewhere if they are to ever get the message that brute force in response to an idea, no matter how offensive, is completely unacceptable and removes you from the family of civilized humans.(Believe me, there's a cartoonist or 9 that I'd love to deck.)

Tomorrow morning they'll lay the remains of Glenn Rojohn to rest in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery in the little town of Greenock, Pa., just southeast of Pittsburgh. He was 81, and had been in the air conditioning and plumbing business in nearby McKeesport. If you had seen him on the street he would probably have looked to you like so many other graying, bespectacled old World War II veterans whose names appear so often now on obituary pages. But like so many of them, though he seldom talked about it, he could have told you one hell of a story.
He won the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Purple Heart all in one fell swoop in the skies over Germany on December 31, 1944. Fell swoop indeed.Capt. Glenn Rojohn, of the 8th Air Force's 100th Bomb Group, was flying his B-17G Flying Fortress bomber on a raid over Hamburg. His formation had braved heavy flak to drop their bombs, and then turned 180 degrees to head out over the North Sea. They had finally turned northwest, headed back to England, when they were jumped by German fighters at 22,000 feet. The Messerschmitt Me-109s pressed their attack so closely that Capt. Rojohn could see the faces of the German pilots.
He and the other pilots fought to remain in formation so they could use each other's guns to defend the group. Rojohn saw a B-17 ahead of him burst into flames and slide sickeningly toward the earth. He gunned his ship forward to fill in the gap.He felt a huge impact. The big bomber shuddered, felt suddenly very heavy and began losing altitude. Rojohn grasped almost immediately that he had collided with another plane. A B-17 below him, piloted by Lt. William G. McNab, had slammed the top of its fuselage into the bottom of Rojohn's. The top turret gun of McNab's plane was now locked in the belly of Rojohn's plane and the ball turret in the belly of Rojohn's had smashed through the top of McNab's. The two bombers were almost perfectly aligned - the tail of the lower plane was slightly to the left of Rojohn's tailpiece. They were stuck together, as a crewman later recalled, "like mating dragon flies." No one will ever know exactly how it happened. Perhaps both pilots had moved instinctively to fill the same gap in formation. Perhaps McNab's plane had hit an air pocket.
Three of the engines on the bottom plane were still running, as were all four of Rojohn's. The fourth engine on the lower bomber was on fire and the flames were spreading to the rest of the aircraft. The two were losing altitude quickly. Rojohn tried several times to gun his engines and break free of the other plane. The two were inextricably locked together. Fearing a fire, Rojohn cuts his engines and rang the bailout bell. If his crew had any chance of parachuting, he had to keep the plane under control somehow.
The ball turret, hanging below the belly of the B-17, was considered by many to be a death trap - the worst station on the bomber. In this case, both ball turrets figured in a swift and terrible drama of life and death. Staff Sgt. Edward L. Woodall, Jr., in the ball turret of the lower bomber, had felt the impact of the collision above him and saw shards of metal drop past him. Worse, he realized both electrical and hydraulic power was gone. Remembering escape drills, he grabbed the hand crank, released the clutch and cranked the turret and its guns until they were straight down, then turned and climbed out the back of the turret up into the fuselage. Once inside the plane's belly Woodall saw a chilling sight, the ball turret of the other bomber protruding through the top of the fuselage. In that turret, hopelessly trapped, was Staff Sgt. Joseph Russo. Several crewmembers on Rojohn's plane tried frantically to crank Russo's turret around so he could escape. But, jammed into the fuselage of the lower plane, the turret would not budge. Aware of his plight, but possibly unaware that his voice was going out over the intercom of his plane, Sgt. Russo began reciting his Hail Mary's.
Up in the cockpit, Capt. Rojohn and his co-pilot, 2nd Lt. William G. Leek, Jr., had propped their feet against the instrument panel so they could pull back on their controls with all their strength, trying to prevent their plane from going into a spinning dive that would prevent the crew from jumping out.Capt. Rojohn motioned left and the two managed to wheel the grotesque,collision-born hybrid of a plane back toward the German coast. Leek felt like he was intruding on Sgt. Russo as his prayers crackled over the radio, so he pulled off his flying helmet with its earphones.Rojohn, immediately grasping that the crew could not exit from the bottom of his plane, ordered his top turret gunner and his radio operator, Tech Sgts Orville Elkin and Edward G. Neuhaus, to make their way to the back of the fuselage and out the waist door behind the left wing.Then he got his navigator, 2nd Lt. Robert Washington, and his bombardier,Sgt James Shirley to follow them. As Rojohn and Leek somehow held the plane steady, these four men, as well as waist gunner Sgt. Roy Little and tail gunner Staff Sgt. Francis Chase were able to bail out.
Now the plane locked below them was aflame. Fire poured over Rojohn's left wing. He could feel the heat from the plane below and hear the sound of .50 caliber machinegun ammunition "cooking off" in the flames.Capt. Rojohn ordered Lieut. Leek to bail out. Leek knew that without him helping keep the controls back, the plane would drop in a flaming spiral and the centrifugal force would prevent Rojohn from bailing. He refused the order.Meanwhile, German soldiers and civilians on the ground that afternoon looked up in wonder. Some of them thought they were seeing a new Allied secret weapon - a strange eight-engined double bomber. But anti-aircraft gunners on the North Sea coastal island of Wangerooge had seen the collision. A German battery captain wrote in his logbook at 12:47 p.m.: "Two fortresses collided in a formation in the NE. The planes flew hooked together and flew 20 miles south. The two planes were unable to fight anymore. The crash could be awaited so I stopped the firing at these two planes."
Suspended in his parachute in the cold December sky, Bob Washington watched with deadly fascination as the mated bombers, trailing black smoke, fell to earth about three miles away, their downward trip ending in an ugly boiling blossom of fire.
In the cockpit Rojohn and Leek held grimly to the controls trying to ride a falling rock. Leek tersely recalled, "The ground came up faster and faster. Praying was allowed. We gave it one last effort and slammed into the ground."The McNab plane on the bottom exploded, vaulting the other B-17 upward and forward. It hit the ground and slid along until its left wing slammed through a wooden building and the smoldering mass of aluminum came to stop.Rojohn and Leek were still seated in their cockpit. The nose of the plane was relatively intact, but everything from the B-17's massive wings back was destroyed. They looked at each other incredulously. Neither was badly injured.Movies have nothing on reality. Still perhaps in shock, Leek crawled out through a huge hole behind the cockpit, felt for the familiar pack in his uniform pocket and pulled out a cigarette. He placed it in his mouth and was about to light it. Then he noticed a young German soldier pointing a rifle at him. The soldier looked scared and annoyed. He grabbed the cigarette out of Leek's mouth and pointed down to the gasoline pouring out over the wing from a ruptured fuel tank.
Two of the six men who parachuted from Rojohn's plane did not survive the jump. But the other four and, amazingly, four men from the other bomber, including ball turret gunner Woodall, survived. All were taken prisoner. Several of them were interrogated at length by the Germans until they were satisfied that what had crashed was not a new American secret weapon.Rojohn, typically, didn't talk much about his Distinguished Flying Cross. Of Leek, he said, "In all fairness to my co-pilot, he's the reason I'm alive today."
Like so many veterans, Rojohn got back to life unsentimentally after the war, marrying and raising a son and daughter. For many years, though, he tried to link back up with Leek, going through government records to try to track him down. It took him 40 years, but in 1986, he found the number of Leek's mother, in Washington State.Yes, her son Bill was visiting from California. Would Rojohn like to speak with him? Two old men on a phone line, trying to pick up some familiar timbre of youth in each other's voice. One can imagine that first conversation between the two men who had shared that wild ride in the cockpit of a B-17.
A year later, the two were re-united at a reunion of the 100th Bomb Group in Long Beach, Calif. Bill Leek died the following year. Glenn Rojohn was the last survivor of the remarkable piggyback flight. He was like thousands upon thousands of men -- soda jerks and lumberjacks, teachers and dentists, students and lawyers and service station attendants and store clerks and farm boys -- who in the prime of their lives went to war in World War II. They sometimes did incredible things, endured awful things, and for the most part most of them pretty much kept it to themselves and just faded back into the fabric of civilian life.

Capt. Glenn Rojohn, AAF, died last Saturday after a long siege of illness. But he apparently faced that final battle with the same grim aplomb he displayed that remarkable day over Germany so long ago. Let us be thankful for such men.A great story. I wonder how many more stories like this one are lost each day as members of the Greatest Generation pass on.

Yeah yeah hello already !?! Excuse me folks for rambling, but the struggle goes on here to understand why the left is so pro-death/anti-hope, while the right is so pro-life/ever hopeful.Especially when watching some of these apparently otherwise intelligent people on t.v. going on about the "serenity of death via dehydration/starvation". I mean, I've been pretty hopeless, depressed, even contemplated "the big take-out", but even in my lowest of lows I don't recall ever taking part-enthusiastically or otherwise- in the death of an innocent person. So her husband wants to kill her, so what? Is it really necessary for all of these advocates to do the victory lap after so joyfully helping the guy kill her ? Are they jealous of the judges getting all of the credit ?One can only hope that a series of well placed mercy "euphorias" doesn't begin taking place through-out the country now that these folks know they have the backing of the American people. Thank you apathy. Personally I'd kill myself but it's too much work. Oh well, there's still hope that the courts might intervene.

Thanks Martha ! Thanks for ruining "The most compelling 2 minutes on television" otherwise known as Britt Hume's "Grapevine" segment on his nightly Fox news show. Actually it's Fox's fault.You see Martha, I mean Fox, for those of us who live on the left coast,the nightly rerun of Brits show is all we get to see if we have something resembling a life.I do and that life resides in the activities of one 9 year old buzz-saw named Nicole and her big brother (when he "decloaks" long enough to be seen), my purpose(s) in life. Once the active part of parenting is done, it's nice to plop down in front of the box and watch a smart guy show everyone else how it's done. Even when a "Big Game" is on or the History Channel has something extraordinary, I always make a point of tuning over to Fox at 9:30 PST to get the lowdown on what so few MSMers talk about -you can say that for the whole show actually considering that facts and accurate information are dispensed and discussed there- and low and behold, what do I get to park my eyes on for 10 minutes or so ? The absolutely enthralling sight of Martha Stewarts non-taxiing aeroplane (as if a shot of the thing moving would have made it all worth it).The banter of the "reporters" was gripping and I hung on every word- well actually I cursed their lineage and prayed for "sudden unemployment syndrome" to afflict them- while waiting, hoping that maybe these criminals, these heartless bastards would do the right thing and just push all of their programming back the rest of the night in order to pick-up where they left off with Brit. NINE !!!
Finally, something to hate Fox for.Now I'm "fair and balanced".I haven't watched NBC since their abortion of my beloved Rockets in the finals when O.J. decided to go on his 40 mph slow goodbye to sanity and legitamacy.I won't shut you off, but please get your priorities straight.I don't want to be forced to start exploring other options. This is regarding Hugh Hewitts solicitation of legitimate bloggers for an opinion on whether senate republicans should go Grant or McClellan on the Dems. and their obstructionism of judicial nominees, but I'm going to respond anyway.

Being a person who finds it odd,to say the least, that we live in a world where the idea of ending the afforementioned and unprecedented obstructionism by suggesting that there be actual up or down votes on nominees is called "The Nuclear Option", while at the same time it's just good old American free speech for a college professor to advocate the mass murder of innocent civilians, you can probably guess where this is going.

Not being nuanced here at the BoA or overly concerned with senate procedure/decorum, I'd like to see something more "Jenjis Khan-ish" to paraphrase the Senator from the great state of Mass. convusion, but seeing as how the Civil War was the bloodiest military engagement in history up 'til it's time, Grant will do.

All decisions to act must be made with the goal of achieving actual success-that being the casting of votes on brilliant men and women like Estrada and Janice Rodgers Brown- and not just posturing in line with decorum, procedure and tradition. Senator Frist is a wonderful person with a great life story, but his finger waving disappointments of the past just won't suffice and never did. Spectre is a brilliant mind who could disembowel liberties opponents if they were his opponents-he was great in the Clarence Thomas hearings as I recall- but they are his "colleagues" and their slurring of fine nominees will continue on without appropriate response from him. Also, Senator Hatch surrendered his post dutifully so he has less bite now although I do like the idea of Orrin as our front man/pit-bull along the lines of a much more legitemate (sane?) version of Edward K. -who is the number one reason for any cracks in my faith that there is a just God.

That's it for the woulda's, coulda's and what ifs, here's what should happen...if only.

President George Bush uses the bullypulpit and his political capital-which is not finite and could actually be built upon if done right- by bringing the truth and importance of this issue, loud and proud, to the American people when the obstructionists do their thing. No more sitting back and saying "Look at 'em go, everyone'll see what they're all about now". No ! Exploit, with dignity, what we all know the left would exploit were the tables turned."Harry Reid doesn't want Hispanics to succeed in America", "Pat Leahy is oppressing women and blacks". They'll still get re-elected, but at least the people who don't have a chance to vote for them will get a chance to actually see what they are all about. The difference with laughing and pointing being, that their ugliness is vigorously highlighted.

What would be the consequence ? Can the Dems prove that these nominees are actually Bible clutching prudes who want to return us to "jim crowe", sweatshops and start a state run religion ? Make them prove it or shut the hell up.

No matter how docile the right is, we're still tarred as liars, lynch mobs, nazis, starvers of children, advocates for seniors on dog food diets and of course we're always too mean to mass murderers of children/innocents and wanna be assassins of our President. They're going to say these things anyway. They always say these things anyway.Take the fight to them! Being kowed into mentalities like "compassionate conservatism"-as opposed to "regular conservatism" which we all know is where the truly mean still reside- has been a detrement to our already faltering morality and to the very security of our great nation.

Americans are starving for a decisive man of action to lead the way. Enemies are enemies, they must be defeated whether it's Sadaam or the radical left in the form of all to many- and unnecessarily- powerful democrats who happen to be fellow citizens by a mistake of birth. You took down Iraqs killer regime, do you think Barbara Boxer is tougher than them ?

Compromises that lead to activists like S.D. O'connor, Souter and Kennedy wreaking havoc on the Constitution can't be allowed to happen anymore if the Republic is to be preserved in some sort of resemblance to what the creators envisioned.Look at all of the "legislating from the bench" that's gone on because the principle of insisting that strict constitutionalists be given a fair chance has been subordinated to politics and the whimsy of peoples feelings."If you can't see the Constitution as a 'living breathing document', then how sensitive can you be to the plight of the downtrodden when called upon to do what's right for the sake of the whole?"

Activist judges have changed the direction of this country forever while potential giants like Scalia and worse yet, Bork, have been defanged and rendered all but or totally inefective but for the honor of the fight.

So I say let 'em have it with both barrels blazin' and when you run out, reload and keep on firing. Screw "nuclear", go Armageddon on their asses.

Let us say that YOU don't like "Joe Blow". He represents everything that you are against. It only makes sense that, this guy Joe, would probably do heinous things given the opportunity considering your absolute hatred for and mistrust of him. Hey, he's that rotten bastard Joe Blow and last week it was reported on, "OurBS is Killing Jews & U.S. Troops Nightly", that Joe likes to do bad things and they even had an 8 second documentary-painstakingly removed from HOURS of footage- that "proved" their assertion. Now let's say that you then start speaking the "truth" (as your hate dictates it) in your neighborhood and anywhere you can be heard. No, there's no facts to support your claims-which after all, are coming from an irrational hate of Joe- so you naturally don't make an "official" claim/report as to your beliefs, but there is NO doubt as to the attitude from which you speak in your daily job of "reporting" the news yourself. Plus, you go around in "informal" venues stating your case sans proof. Word then gets around about your "belief system" and people sympathetic to Joe Blow become outraged by the effect you're causing him. His house is burned to the ground. His wife is raped. His kids are murdered. According to your "belief system", Joe's getting what he deserves. But you have no facts to support your hypothosis. Are you guilty of a crime ?

"YOU" are, "THIS IS CNN"/eason jordan and "Joe Blow" is obviously the American fighting man and ALL those who support him. I submit that you are a criminal and should stand before a court of law for the CRIME of Slander With Intent to Harm. No one could argue about your total disregard as to the harm you bring to the U.S. Fighting Man and why else would you say these lies unless you wanted to cause the complete and total failure-that means death in greater numbers to the TARGET of your MALICIOUS slander and all of the collateral damage that goes with it- of his mission .

With this in mind I would like it be known that someone has told me, "eason jordan associates with known criminal figures and is believed to be involved in child porn and probably produces films of this nature in his own basement and when he's done he murders his victims and buries them in a backlot at aol/timewarner headquarters." Or so I'm told.

If you read that last paragraph and found yourself outraged, please tell me the difference-legitimacy wise-between it and the swill that this hater and disseminator of putrid anti-American HATE SPEECH is spewing forth with his screed at Davos and the attitude with which he infects the network he's in charge of. This is about the college professor by the name of Churchill who takes "Neville Chamberlainism" to a new level. This person, through his statements -and subsequent responses to critisisms of those statements- has basically solicited the continuing mass slaughter of THOUSANDS of what he calls "Little eichmanns"-ie; You & Me. Even Neville never went THAT far. This guy makes up for his lack of power with a very powerful encouragement to those that would-and already have- commited mass murder against us.

Is this the new pacifism? This person "hates" war but advocates the mass murder of innocents, while somehow analogizing them to an ACTUAL facilitator of mass murder. Hey you in the Dockers with the Starbucks in your hand, you must DIE so as to realize the justice of those who would reinstate sadaam h. and appoint ubl as the "grand dragon" of the new ruling class that would be made up of the current xenophobes trying to destroy Freedom with acts of unspeakable horror against women and small children with the thrust and verve of their Titanic heroe, adolph hitler.

No folks, action must be taken. Yes, it was a different time when the "Proclamation Suspending the Writ of Habeas Corpus" was undertaken, but that was "only" for the sake of the Union. What is now at hand is the future of the lives of freedom loving people EVERYWHERE. The streets of progress could go dead for a thousand years if these animals have there way and word has it that they have access to the mechanisms that could make that nightmare come true. An example must be made and it must be made with conviction and righteousness. A senator would be preferable, but a racist, self hating ANTI-AMERICAN will suffice. Sussing Out the Left

I read a blog post by "A Liberal Marines Progressive Perspective" today and several truths of the lefts tactics, when "proving" a point, jumped out at me.
tactic #1) Show an emotion inducing photo/video-or show a normal picture, as in this case, and inject your own emotions- then claim that it, the picture, represents/encompasses the entire reality of the issue at hand.

#2) Always quickly move on to one's next assumption (this one is most commonly used on t.v. and radio) before the last one can be challenged, thus establishing a whole new "fact" with which to build ones line of anti-liberty speech upon.

#3) Make things that are essentially acceptable, unacceptable. Examples; calling the American fighting man and the women who fight with him "boys and girls" or children- thus making it unacceptable that they should be fighting and dying- or, calling mass murderers and torturers, "detainees" and "prisoners"-which makes it unacceptable that they not be provided the protections afforded to civilized humans by the conventions that they spit on every day. Even though their uncaught comrades continue ripping apart the bodies of as many children, women, caterers, civil engineers, truck drivers, humanitarians, journalists and yes even those same American fighting men & women (when the killers know that it's time to die, they try that one) as they can as they continue to expand their target list, fighting to kill Freedom & Liberty whenever & wherever they can. All with the lefts blessing. What else do you call it when the U.S. President is called a nazi swine daily while these actual atrocities are NEVER condemed by the likes of Ted Kennedy, Nancy Verbosi, Al Gore, Dink Turbin & Co. or their public relations firms, the mainstream media ?

#4) Get your talking points straight so that everyone is singing the same song, even if it is out of tune and out of touch. If one listens to Rush at all, you can here on a regular basis how they all repeat a key phrase or word simultaneously, somehow through apparent osmosis. Who could ever forget 'gravitas' or more recently we've been inundated with news of the "quagmire"-this one being designed to get you in a huff because Iraq is "just like Viet Nam". And who ever gets tired of "(insert republican presidents name here) is an unrefined boob stumbling through the world & embarassing all of us in the eyes of the French ."?

#5) Always belittle your oppositions base. Right down to the evil SUV that they drive. Also, if you're a vet, try to remind the room of this fact almost as often as you say that regular -that'd be red state- Americans are idiots. They're bound to see the light and go your way eventually...aren't they ?

#6) Fear ! Fear ! Fear ! The misdirected kind that is. Serve it up hot and steamin' and keep shoveling it in the face of all rational thought or ANY tendency towards national survival. Also, make sure to put the blame squarely on the backs of the good 'ol U.S. fighting man and or his REPUBLICAN gub'ment/C.I.A. etc. so as to cause complete paralysis when it comes to actually doing something to protect our country from what is feared(although, as far as the Dems. are concerned, that's usually U.S.). "Could someone please pass the responsibilty ? Pass it right UNDER the table, I'm enjoying my hedonism right now. That's it Monica, a little to the left."

This post is in response to an indirect request made to yours truly by "radio shock jock" Hugh Hewitt. Well here you go Hugh, glad I could straighten you out on this whole, "how to deal with a liberal" quandary.
Following is the authors premises and then my responses to them.
The authors takes...
Premise #1-“On balance it is probably healthier if religious conservatives are inside the political system than if they operate as insurgents and provocateurs on the outside.
Premis #2 Better they should write anti-abortion planks into the Republican platform than bomb abortion clinics.
Premise #3The same is true of the left. The clashes over civil rights and Vietnam turned into street warfare partly because activists were locked out of their own party establishments and had to fight, literally, to be heard. When Michael Moore receives a hero’s welcome at the Democratic National Convention, we moderates grumble; but if the parties engage fierce activists while marginalizing tame centrists, that is probably better for the social peace than the other way around.”

My takes on the authors takes...
Premise #1) Religious conservatives are on the outside looking in at their own party.If you accept the fact that ostensibly, the president/presidential candidate of each party is the leader of that party-accept for the DNC, where the Clintons still rule supreme- all you need to do is count heads starting with Bush and it seems that half of his campaign/staff/contributors ARE the "religious right". 'Nuff said? 'Nuff said.

Premise #2) Bombers of "clinics" would serve as drafters of republican dogma if given the chance. This concept follows a familiar line of hysterics by the left which is "We are the status quo, and those gun toting, bible thumping moralists are dangerous and just plain wierd." If you respond to it, there's instant legitimacy for this swill. If you try to prove that they are wrong (see "compassionate conservative" and the lefts response to it, "Bush is Hitler/ He betrayed our country!!!/ The Iraq war was made up in Crawford Texas/ Bush will reinstitute slavery and lynch mobs will rule again" and on and on adnauseam) You've already lost. That kind of irrational belief when stated as a common knowledge fact, is literally impossible to respond to effectively. They've drunk the Koolaid by then, they're gone.

#3) If murder bombers and traitors want entry into the republican and democrat parties respectively, let 'em in while humoring the saner, larger mainstream of each parties core for the sake of "social peace". Wow! I had several teachers who tried this method in school. It essentially means that the loudmouth bully wins the day. I really must restrain myself from at least personal mocking of the author at this time, but I'll try to maintain. Sheesh!

As I've stated here before, in order for something to become irrelevant, you must first take that giant step of discontinuing acknowledgment of it.( Law of "polophysics"- the speed with which a democrat (whineous negatorous) becomes a meaningless footnote, is in direct relation to ones ability to lose interest in it) They think they matter , because we tell them so. The left barely deserves a chuckle tossed in their direction. You'll notice that every arguement from the left has become akin to the old Soviet style of court justice,"So mister republican fascist, when did you stop beating your wife?"
Dealing with them just slows everything down. So unless it's an academic excercise, I say just let 'em fall into the abyss they've been working so hard on laying paved road to all of these years. Also, one should NEVER use "How will THEY -the MSM- respond to this?" as a basis for determining the content of a blog or in any way stating what one knows to be fact, philosophical or otherwise (unless of course you find their reaction amusing) for fear of being percieved as a "right wing fascist"(an oxymoron if ever there was-nazi Germany was a LEFT wing state). I for one love that moniker and wear it with pride and good cheer. It's the fringe folks who are bitter and defensive for the most part. Be Right, be proud, have fun.

Finally, I don't care about the author, his publisher or what they believe or what this says about them. What are we afraid of ? That we'll be " wished into the cornpatch " if proof is not provided for our allegations?
